the taste of the month for may is a double chocolate, espresso, banana and nutella brownie. this brownie is amazing! you have to taste it to believe just how good it is!!!

happy new year! hard to believe it is 2011. e. e. cookies is looking forward to a great new year!

to start the year off, we are featuring an “oreo” like cookie. this deep dark chocolate cookie is crispy and filled with a vanilla bean white frosting. if the like the “real” oreo, you are going to love this one!!

The cookie of the month for November is a pumpkin whoopie pie with fresh cranberries and vanilla bean cream cheese frosting! Yummm!!

October taste of the month

The taste of the month for October is a pumpkin whoopie pie. This is a little piece of heaven in our mouth. You can choose plain or or to add chocolate chips or cranberries or both! These 2 cake-like cookies are sandwiched together by a creamy, rich cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla bean frosting. Need I say more???

New kitchen

Just a little update on the bakery/kitchen. I now have all my equipment. Yay!! Now I am just finding people to install everything. I have an electrician here right now wiring and installing my ovens. I am hoping a plumber will be here tomorrow to install my sinks. I also need to get a refrigerator repairman in here to look at my fridge. It needs a little “tune up”.

I am getting very excited about all of this. I cannot wait to make my first batch of cookies in my new kitchen. I feel like a kid in a candy store with all of this equipment. I am so ready to use it! I had to make cookie dough for 35 dozen cookies this morning. It took me a little over 2 hours to do it. In this new kitchen, I bet it will only take 30 minutes or less! It will take me over 3 hours to bake all of the cookies. In my new kitchen, it will take me less than 20 minutes!!

I have included some pictures of the new kitchen plus the sign in the lobby of the building with e. e. cookies on it. I got so excited when I saw that yesterday. I am official now!

A home of our own

EXCITING news!! e. e. cookies now has a home of our very own. On Monday I signed a lease for a space for a commercial kitchen/bakery. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this. It is going to be so nice to have a “real” kitchen to work and create in. My husband and I have been busy looking for equipment for the kitchen and hope to have it all within the next few weeks.

There is so much involved in getting this kitchen up and running. Permits, license, equipment, insurance, utilities, etc, etc, etc. So much work, but I LOVE IT!! There is nothing like doing a job that you love and look forward to doing every day.

I will keep you posted on the progress of the kitchen and will post some pictures soon.
